This guide is focused on the ICT sector in order to delimitate its carbon footprint. It includes greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy and materials consumption in all the states of the life cycle of a product. This includes:

  • Acquisition of raw materials
  • Product manufacturing and assembly
  • Transportation
  • Operation
  • End‑of‑life treatment and disposal
The report considers the carbon footprint of the ICT sector including mobile and fixed access networks, data centers and enterprise networks and user equipment.
